The regulations contained in the new Development Law apply to:
(i) a natural person who makes an acquisition for a purpose not directly related to his/her business or professional activity (subject criterion),
(ii) residential premises or detached houses (residential sector)(subject criterion).
As a result, commercial premises are not subject to the regime of the new Development Law, except in the case where the acquisition of a commercial premises is made by the above-mentioned individual together with the acquisition of residential premises included in an identical development project.
