Purpose of the Privacy Policy

The purpose of AS LAW FIRM's Privacy Policy is to explain the principles and basis of the processing of your personal data, which is carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”) and the Act of 10 May 2018 on the Protection of Personal Data (Journal of Laws 2018 item 1000)(“Act”).

Personal data controller

The controller of your personal data is AS LAW FIRM at Plac Zbawiciela 2/23 in Warsaw (hereinafter referred to as the “Law Firm” or the “Controller”). The personal data collected by the Law Firm are processed in accordance with the principles set out in the data protection regulations, including the GDPR and the Act. The Law Firm is particularly careful to keep personal data confidential and secure them against unauthorised access by third parties, in accordance with the rules set out in the aforementioned legal acts.

Scope and purposes of personal data processing

As part of its activities, AS LAW FIRM collects and processes personal data, in particular for: (i) the performance of contracts concluded by the Law Firm with its Clients (pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and (ii) for the fulfilment of the Law Firm’s legal obligations (pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR).

Period of processing

Personal data will be processed, respectively, until the duration of your contract with the Law Firm as a data controller, including the expiry of limitation periods related to the contract to which the processing of personal data is connected, or related to the limitation period for legal obligations.

Transfer of personal data to other entities

Your personal data will be made available only to entities authorised by law or by a data processing agreement with the Law Firm. Based on an agreement, the Controller may entrust your data to entities directly or indirectly related to the Law Firm, in particular by organisational or personal links, based in one of the Member States of the European Union. Furthermore, recipients of your data may be external entities providing IT, accounting or legal services), administrative bodies or general and administrative courts. The above-mentioned entities will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and to process them in accordance with the generally applicable legal provisions.

Cookie mechanism

The Law Firm’s Website uses cookies, which are small textual information stored on the device of a Website user, i.e. any person using the Website’s functionality or merely visiting the Website. They usually include a unique number, the name of the website from which such files originate and the time of their storage on the Website user’s device. The mechanism of cookies is safe for the computers of Website clients. Where personal data are processed in connection with the use of cookies necessary for the operation of the Website, this processing takes place pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: the processing is necessary for the purposes resulting from the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding inappropriate processing of your personal data by AS LAW FIRM to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes and updates to the Privacy Policy will be published on the Law Firm’s website, and by using the Law Firm’s website you accept the Law Firm’s Privacy Policy.
